Alpine Campground
High on Mount Hood, near the headwaters of the Salmon River. This campground is about a mile from Timberline, a popular ski resort on Mt Hood. Timberline Lodge is also a jumping off point for day hikes and overnight hikes up Mt Hood. The campground has 16 single sites for Tents and RV's up to 16 feet. Water, fire pits, and picnic tables are provided. No reservations accepted.

Directions: Directions from Sandy: Travel east on Highway 26 past Government Camp to Road 173. Follow 173 north to the campground.
